A new comparator for banks

Hi

I have finished yet again another comparator. This time, I have done a bank comparator:

The idea is to compare multiple banks for different scenarios and see which one is the most optimized for each usage.

Let me know what you think, any comment is welcome (on design, on content, on missing banks, features, ...).

Happy holidays

Thanks, great as always! Some small points:

  • is the "Monthly Swiss withdrawals" means as withdrawls in CHF in Switzerland? Or as withdrawls in Switzerland (CHF, EUR, ...)?
  • Why does radicant show 0 CHF for foreign withdrawls? I thought radicant would charge for withdrawls outside of Switzerland.
  • I don't see Wir Bank in the list.

Great resource!
- On my phone screen the input fields for the form are off screen (i have to scroll to the right)
- The chart legend is hiding part of the chart behind it.. maybe increase the chart size?

Otherwise it looks great! Apparently Alpian would be best for me now, but how long will they keep their 0.75% interest which is above SNB level (0.5)..? 😅

Thanks for the feedback!

Excellent question, I will make this clear! This indeed withdrawals in CHF in Switzerland.

I do not see this. But you have to set both the number of withdrawals and the withdrawal amount. It's probably not very ergonomic but I could not find a better way to be accurate.
I don't see Wir Bank in the list.
I will add it (y)

I should have tested it on the phone, I always forgot, will fix this.

I will see what I can do, but the library doing the graphs is quite limited for legends :(

I don't think they can sustain it for long. But it's true that with their high interest rate, they often pop up at the top for people who have a significant amount of cash.

you use a floating point and not an integer
I guess the two fields of 'Monthly foreign withdrawals' and 'Monthly foreign withdrawal amount' would need to be linked somehow to fully account for all geeks like me :)
I used a floating point because I do less than one foreign withdrawls per month. I also withdraw less in Switzerland. But I think especially for abroad there should be an option to calculate with maybe 3-4 withdrawl per year.

I used monthly values because I thought people would have a better estimation of how much they used the card per month. But I could also use yearly values (since I multiplying everything by 12 anyway).

I have done a few updates:
  1. Fixed the layout on mobile phones
  2. Added WIR Bank Top
  3. Added support for floating points
  4. Put the legends on the right of the graph

I get this for Neon with these values; other banks seem alright, but there's something wrong with Neon? (Also checked on my phone for the same result).

Do you manually curate the interest rates or have you managed to somehow automatize it?
Unfortunately no.

Banks do not have public APIs to get this information. So, it would need scraping through the page to find the information and I do not have the time to do that for every bank. Once I hear that a bank has changed interest rate, I have to change in two places: the blog and the comparator.

Great job putting together the bank comparator(A little intro of mine: I am new in this community😅)it looks like a super useful tool for those trying to navigate the best banking options in Switzerland! I really like the idea of tailoring comparisons to different scenarios; it’s practical and aligns well with what people need.
