About data (IB)

Like this, it's difficult to know. It may be dividend withholding.

You can try to generate a full activity statement for the same period to see what it matches.

I know it could be something to do with my account type (margin account), but to be honest I'm confused.

At first I was alarmed because my portfolio is mostly S&P 500 (QQQ, TESLA, NVIADIA and VTI perform better than the S&P) and I had noticed a lot of variability and comparison with the S&P 500.1751571825983.png
I was thinking it might be because of the currency, my account is in CHF, but I was looking deeper and found this post. I'm very confused.( https://forum.mustachianpost.com/t/interactive-brokers-lost-3-4-dont-repeat-my-mistake/3583)

Have you checked whether you have a negative balance and this would be interest payment like in this post you have linked?

If you want, you can send me full details by private message and I will take a look.

No I never had a negative balace. Yesterday, I changed the currency of my account (CHF to USD), just to see if this variation comes from the currency.

And... it mean that Im losing more that 12% just on the currency.

I dont know how to read on my statement (CHF), if you can help me with that I appreciate.

I would like to heard from you if have some protection again de currency depreciation.

Unfortunately, the USD has fallen a lot since Trump started its presidency.

And there is not much we can do about it. You can hedge some of the risks, but that will be expensive in the long term. You can reduce your USD exposure, but you may be missing out on returns. The current consensus in the community is that in the long term, we are going to be fine but we will get lower returns than US investors because of that.

In the first year of my investment, I was not following the Dollar Cost Averege technique, and now I'm paying the price.
