Cost savings vs. network coverage for cell phone and mobile data

I recently switched to spusu. Their black Friday offer last year (free calling in Switzerland plus 1 GB of data for Switzerland and EU at CHF. 4.80 per month) was simply unbeatable. spusu is based on the Salt network.

I was conscious of the fact that Salt might not have the best network coverage but decided to accept that. Since I spend quite a bit of time in the mountains in the summer I have recently become more aware of this lower coverage. Before that I was thinking of switching my mother to spusu as well. However, with these recent experiences plus further testimonials from mountain loving friends that Salt is a no-go for them, I am hesitating. Swisscom seems to have a better network coverage, but this comes at a cost. No Swisscom based offers comes close to the cheapest offerings for the Salt or Sunrise network. I am now thinking that a good network coverage should also have a value and have my mother pay a bit more (around CHF 7 per month) for the better network coverage of Swisscom.
I would appreciate any thoughts or challenges from all of you on this idea.

For me, the quality of the network is also important, and I won't consider anything else than Swisscom for me. I am aware that I may be biased, but I can live with that.

On the Swisscom network, the cheapest offers that I know are the Mucho offers, but they are prepaid only I believe.

I use the Mucho Mini abo CHF 9.90 /month (now on offer 8.90 plus 35 activation) because it's the only way of having network coverage inside some buildings in Bern where I work. My girlfriend uses Spusu CHF 9.90/month (activation was free).
It's true that Mucho has way better coverage (also in the mountains), but since they switched off 3G the quality of the coverage went down.

Oh. I did not think about that. Is Swisscom coverage now worse?
I used to have full or 3 lines coverage with 3G, now it's mostly 1 line or none with 4G or 5G in some buildings. Unfortunately I cannot call every time and I had no problems before. We also adapted and started using the Walkie-Talkies.

now on offer 8.90
Wow, I was not aware of that. I looked at Wingo which is where I thought that I would find the cheapest price. But 8.90 is actually great, that's even cheaper than the spusu plan that I looked at for my mother (CHF 9.90 for 5GB data). The 500MB of roaming data might be on the lower end if she happens to travel twice in a month. But still, a great deal.
