[Feedback] Anybody want to test an advanced budget spreadsheet?

Hi

For a long time, I wanted to do an advanced version of my budget spreadsheet. I finally got that done.
This version is much more advanced than the previous one, with more features:
  • recurring earnings and expenses
  • you can store everything in one sheet. No need for one per year
  • you can filter everything by month and year
  • you get monthly, yearly, and overall overviews

I would love it if you could give me your feedback: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/u/1/d/1ijiORpGI7RkuQ9s6hsM5MmstvsD3DkAQ44LuxD9wvXk/copy
  • Is something not working?
  • Is something missing?

I have not done any documentation, and looks so far, this will be done at the end

Thanks!

Thanks to some feedback from a reader, I have improved the spreadsheet already. This should make it more useful and fix several bugs he found.

Let me know if you find anything that can be improved.

Hi @sevsevsev

I haven't worked in the spreadsheet in a while, I consider it done, and it's supposed to work for multiple years in theory.

Could you expand what you mean by "update the year to 2025"? Did you add an expense for 2025 and it stopped working? Or did you try the yearly overview for 2025 and it failed? A screenshot with the messed up part would be useful.

Thanks for the quick reply. In the meantime, I already figured it out and it was a bit of an embarassing user error. I changed the year in the sheet yearly to 2025 and it (obviously) showed "divided by zero" error messages --> because the only expense entered was in 2024
