Free Cantonal Banks

Hi guys,

I had a look at a few cantonal banks, looking for which ones were free; and I thought it would be a nice idea to list them all here in case anyone is interested.
Neo-Banks are great, but if I have the possibility of having a free cantonal bank close to home, I'll take it (and keep 1 or 2 neobanks for abroad/internet).

So far I've found:

If you find any others, I could add it to the list. Unfortunately BCV doesn't offer a free account as of yet (If I have to hold a certain amount on it for it to be free, it is not free).

BCF (Fribourg) can be free but only if you do not get a Mastercard and without it it's pretty useless I think since you can strictly only use it to withdraw cash at BCF ATMs and offices.

Indeed, I just checked, and their Sesam card only allows withdrawals. The debit card unfortunately costs 40/year.

I think personally I'll open an account with BCVs; it has everything, in French, and it's closer to home than any other KB.

These cantonal banks seem like solid choices, especially if you’re looking for something local and free. I’ll definitely keep these in mind for my next account.

I recommend BCV i use them for last 7 years and theit service is much better than BCF ! i also use them for their portfolio services
