I LOVE playing a few 'daily puzzle games' every morning - by which I mean NYT's Wordle, Connections, Strands etc, and lots of others that were made and popularised in the wake of Wordle's success. (Do you enjoy LinkedIn's ones? Others?)
I now have my own idea + designs for a daily game following the conventions that the above games established.
I'm looking for a talented front-end developer, or ideally a full-stack developer, to help bring my daily stock-market game concept to life.
I thought I might try these Poor Swiss forums just in case there are likeminded people here.
The game idea is very simple, so it will be a quick, engaging - and insightful - Single Page App website just like the ones above: just using cookies on launch (accounts can come later) to track player stats and streaks, no app, and the potential to spread quickly via word of mouth.
Once the 'itch' of "playing the stockmarket" has been 'scratched', players will then see some stats and stock price info, but also a very quick-to-read 'words of wisdom' type article, which will be a moment of reflection for the player - reminding them that, though it can seem tempting to try and play the market, it's time in the market that always comes out on top. Just like the lessons here on Poor Swiss, or modern received wisdom we all know.
For monetisation, I envision daily YouTubes / TikToks breaking down global player performance, also helping to spread the word. I'm eager to explore roadmap opportunities such as subscriptions, sponsorships, etc.
Because this is speculative, I'm very open to this being a partnership in a company we setup to share any successful monetisation.
Does that sound interesting? Something that could be a nice side project, or even venture?
