Full Historical DAILY data for MSCI ACWI?

Hey @Baptiste Wicht - maybe one for you.

I've been looking for a full history at daily EOD level for MSCI's ACWI index.

On their (absolutely terrible) website, setting the history from 1 to 4 years does this. However, 5 years or Full History changes it to Monthly, and there's no way to get it to Daily.

While Googling for answers, I stumbled across a forum post by yourself asking a similar question.

Were you ever able to get full historical daily data?

I wonder if this can only be obtained via third party sources?

What I'm trying to do is to compare a historical company's price to today, and then also compare that change to a Global index's change since the same date.

Only having monthly for 5+ years of history makes it annoying.

Unfortunately, I have not gotten this data.
In the end, I only really need monthly data which is fine for all my simulations. It would be fun to do daily simulations, but this would not add much to the results. I wanted to do some other analysis of the data, but could not get the data.

Thanks @Baptiste Wicht - so you're not aware of another global index that does have daily, going back to the 80s/90s?

I guess in my case, I could just use the nearest month.

That's correct, I am not aware of any such dataset.
