Hedge of currency risks

Dear valued POORSWISS community

I would like to buy some Berkshire Hathaway stocks.

Most of the assets are US companies.

How can I hedge with an ease approach the currency risks?

Has anyone in the community ever done this?

I live in the Switzerland.

Please share the thoughts with us.

Many thanks.

Best regards
Tom

Hi Tom

lf you want to hedge against currency risk yourself, you will need forward FX contracts or FX options. These are advanced instruments. I would not recommend it unless you really know what you are doing.

I am not aware of any hedged-BRK instrument.

Another way to hedge is to keep a bias towards CHF. You could keep some CHF cash or some CHF investments next to the BKR shares.
