IBKR Activity Statement - help in understanding it

Hi all.
Does anybody know/understand the contents of the IBKR "Activity Statement" document?
I have some questions about it... let's start with the first one: I put CHF into IBKR, then convert them into USD to finally buy VT. In the Forex part of the statement I understand the part related to "CHF.USD" (conversion from CHF to USD) and it all corresponds to what I actually did convert. The question is: why is there also a Forex section "USD.CHF"? Most of the lines in this section show the code "AFx" which means "AutoFX conversion resulting from trading". Some other lines don't have any code.
This is an example (all lines are from the 23.07.2024):

At the same date, I did convert some CHF into USD:

And I bought VT with that money:

I see some correlation, like between the "Quantity = 9,888.72" in the fourth line of the "USD.CHF" section above (picture 1) and the "Proceeds = 9,888.71" in this last screenshot (picture 3) - but I don't understand the whole as such.

Thankful in advance for any clarifying explanation. Even if you'd suggest to as IBKR support - that'd be fine as well ;)
Thanks.

Hi,

The Forex positions are there because you are now exposed to the forex market, so you have foreign currencies. This is different from a Swiss broker where the currency would be transparent. In this case, each conversion is an operation on the forex market and each position needs to be counted. You can see that this tracks the MTM (Mark-To-Market) performance of each of your Forex positions. Or are you wondering why the positions are here in the first place?

For the last VT line, I am not sure I see the issue. T.Price is the price you paid, C.Price is the price currently on the time generated. Basis is Commissions + Proceeds. And Realized is 0 because you have not yet sold anything. And MTM /PL is the unrealized profit (or loss in this case).

Hi.
It's clear to me that I'm now on the Forex market because I'm buying VT in USD but I only have CHF, so I have to convert from CHF to USD. These currency exchanges are defined as "CHF.USD". What is not clear to me, are all the other currency conversions "USD.CHF" - I never converted any USD back into CHF. Where do those lines come from?

For the last VT line, I wasn't asking any question about it: I just added it there to show that there's some correlation between my VT purchase on the 23.07.2024 and some (7) lines in the "USD.CHF" Forex table on the same date. I was trying to figure out (sort of "reverse-engineering") where the 7 lines in "USD.CHF" come from and I found one single correlation.
