IBKR - buying VT, strange pop-up message

Hi all.
I've got USD 66.199,81 on my USD cash account and CHF 1.998,21 on the CHF cash account at IBKR.
Now I wanted to buy VT stocks and I get this message pop up:

"BUY 555 VT ARCA" Available settled cash converted to base: 62644.99 CHF
Cash needed for this order and other pending orders: 63883.28 CHF
Click on "update order" to update the quantity to 500.

I'm a bit confused: lines 1 and 2 are simply a confirmation and telling me in my base currency, how much I'm gonna pay - correct? Because I already have USD in cash, so I hope these USD would be take to pay for the VT stocks.
The last sentence is also a bit uncomfortable: am I forced to buy max. 500 shares, or can I just ignore it and proceed?

Thanks.

I'm afraid, you can't. You can either wait until the necessary sum is settled or change to margin account. These messages shouldn't appear with a margin account.
Are you suggesting that the Forex transaction (CHF-->USD) has not been settled yet?

If all transactions are already settled, then IB says that the money is not enough for this order (for whatever reason). You can either reduce the number of shares in the order, add money or change to margin account.

I reduced the amount of shares I was buying and it worked. Although I don't understand: I have 66k USD and I buy for 66500... why is that money not enough? Is the buying fee that high? I don't remember it being that impacting...
