Neon if you are also a fiscal resident abroad

Hello, I was trying to create a NEON account and I was asked if I am a tax resident in another country, and I am in France so I was not able to create it. Does anyone have any advice as to which free online bank account I can create in Swiss, please? Not Revolut because you cannot pay with QR codes as Baptiste mentioned on his blog. I need to be able to pay with the Swiss QR code.

Kind regards,

WST

Do you have family or relatives in Switzerland? Then you can tell the bank you live at that address, just make sure the Post service was informed and would deliver the mail at you name.
If you have no one to help, you could use a service like myswissmailaddress.com
As a Swiss living abroad, I never told the swiss banks about it and get my accounts registered at my swiss family address. Otherwise most banks would charge scandalous monthly fees or even deny to open an account to a holder living abroad (because of US FATCA mostly)

I did not explain well; I live in Switzerland now, I have a B permit, but Neon says that if I also have a fiscal residency in France I cannot open a Neon account.

If you work in CH on a B permit, I assume you are taxed at the source on your salary and do not fill a tax return in CH? But you still fill taxes in France because you have income or wealth there?
I would tell the Neon you are solely a swiss tax resident (maybe it's a bit late now).

A bit out of topic: Crédit Agricole Next Bank accepts french residents at no extra costs and make it easy to exchange money between CHF/EUR and even has a TWINT app: https://www.ca-nextbank.ch/fr

So, you are filling taxes every year in France and in Switzerland?

You could try Yuh, I think they are more flexible for that.
