Pillar 3a for foreigners living in Switzerland

Hi all,
I was wondering if there is an efficient and effective way to find out whether it is worth for a foreigner (living in Switzerland) to get a 3a Pillar or not? I've heard that you'll be taxed differently once you want to deduct the invested amount (3a) from your taxable income. Apparently it also depends on the town / canton you live in...
Any answers / guidance would be much appreciated!

Hi @Peter and welcome to the forums.

Yes, it will depend on each canton.
There is no fool-proof method. However, one thing you can do is use the software for the tax office of your canton and enter all your data there, and it should provide you an estimation of your due taxes. You can then compare that to what you pay at source, and you will have a rough idea of whether that is worth it.
