SAXO

Hello,
I opened an account with Saxo as their fees are low.

Unfortunately many of the funds are not available in their database in comparison to Swissquote...

Even some standard ETF like VIX are not there...

Are you satisfied with their service ?

Hi Denis

Isn't VIX an index and not an ETF? Can you trade it directly with Swissquote?

As for ETFs, normally, they have more or less the same range available.

Thanks Baptiste,
I meant an ETF on VIX tradable on SQ but not Saxo:

BARCLAYS IPTH SRS B S&P SHRT TRM ET
US06748M1962

Well Saxo trades ETNs but they say this ETF on VIX cannot be traded in Switzerland. This is not correct as I trade it with Swissquote regulary.

It you trade a fund for example which is not in their database, you need to pays 200 US$ to open it !

latest news : i contacted them on dec 11 saying i want to transfer 15 funds to my Saxo account do I need to pays 3000$ to do it as these funds are not in your database ? they say they will reply soon. few reminder sent . i am surprised of such client service for new customers... i will keep you posted. Swissquote has better client service but higher commissions...

Thanks for sharing your experience. It seems indeed like it should be a quick answer. On the other hand, we can expect that most of their staff is now in vacation, so it's probably not the best time of the year to get a prompt answer.

Indeed but my query was dated dec 11 before people went on leave. i guess cheaper commissions means may be less service client staff...
