UBS 3a and mortgage

Hello,

At the moment I have a 10y 1% fixed mortgage at UBS until 2030

It is done with indirect amortization through my 3a also at UBS (currently invested in Vita W50 and S50) hence the 3a is pledged to my mortgage, the average performance is around 18%, good/bad?

I red a lot here and on reddit that UBS isn't optimal in terms their fees and performance, and eg Finpension would better

I haven't found where in my contract or AGB if my 3a must be at UBS or I can choose another provider, does anyone know where this defined?

I already asked UBS, but since they don't have a dedicated personal advisor anymore it take ages to get an easy respond

Anyone had success changing their 3a when having a mortgage at UBS?

Hi Evalo

Over what period? If it's per year, it's insane performance. If it's over 10 years, it's pretty dull.

It's true that on paper, they are not great (also not the worst).

They will simply not accept indirect amortization if it's through another provider. That's a way to keep the money in their place. Every bank does that.

You won't be able to change it.

Normally, you can only change amortization when you renew the contract, so in 2030 in your case. There, you could discuss using another 3a (unlikely) or switching to direct amortization.

Thanks Baptiste for the reply!

Ok as I feared, maybe I'll try to make the best of the situation, eg increase from 50 to 75 or 100

So 2030, ie 7 years to retirement, probably doesn't make any sense to change
