Bought something on Amazon today and decided to check how their currency conversion rate compares to Radicant, it's surprisingly not bad! Radicant's rate is nearly the same as Google's rate.
Regarding WIR, the blog states: "If you do a transfer in EUR in the SEPA region or in Switzerland, you will not pay any fee. However, if you do a transfer outside this region or in another currency, you will pay 5 CHF per transfer. In both cases, WIR will use its exchange rate. Currently, it looks like they have a surcharge of 1% on the interbank exchange rate for these transfers."
Did anybody find an official reference to it?
Looks like it's a bad idea to use them for anything other than CHF and EUR anyway, but still curious about it.
@justatreeinthesea Keep in mind that this is only for transfers from accounts to accounts, not to use with the card. Most Swiss banks do not publish their exchange rates. 1% is what I could find reported by some users online.
So Radicant just announced that they now offer a travel insurance!
This is pretty impressive for a free account. They are really aggressive in growing their customer base, offering so many amazing perks! I hope it works for them, I suppose they will start implementing some fees or paid plans starting from next year, but as of right, they are miles above the competition I think.

I started by using Neon as a salary account and daily business, while keeping a joint account on Migros Bank for rent deposit.
Now I added ZKB to the mix, which is now our main joint account. Neon is still used for foreign transactions, and the rent deposit remains on Migros Bank.
I also have a Zak account, but don't see the point of using it. Tried numerous times to open a WiLLBe account, but quit after waiting forever for the confirmation letter that never came.
Thanks @Baptiste Wicht for the tips, otherwise I would probably be stuck with UBS =)
