Sympany is increasing my health insurance premiums by 14% in 2027 compared to 2026.
2026 monthly premium: 411.75 CHF
2027 monthly premium: 468.85 CHF
I did not select any changes and my 2026 and 2027 policies have the same coverage and deductible:
The letter attempting to soothe angry customers from the Sympany CEO did not inspire confidence, here is an excerpt:
We are living in the year 2026. If Sympany hasn't figured out yet how to automate and digitalize processes, then probably they shouldn't be in business.
My questions to the forum:
Are other Swiss health insurance companies drastically raising premiums?
Does anyone have a recommendation for a Swiss health insurance company offering better value for a 2027 policy?

I did not select any changes and my 2026 and 2027 policies have the same coverage and deductible:
- 2'500 CHF annual deductible
- KVG (includes compulsory callmed 24 telemedicine service)
- plus VVG (supplementary insurance, worth it for me due to the gym membership reimbursement and some other benefits I use)
- hospital general VVG

Healthcare costs have risen again this year. This means that premiums will also rise in 2027. We're taking a number of measures to keep the premium increase as low as possible:
- We're automating and digitalising processes. This keeps our administrative costs low.
- We're checking all invoices carefully. This saves many millions of francs.
- We offer tried-and-tested savings models in basic insurance. These keep healthcare costs and thus your premiums lower -- while maintaining the same quality of medicine.
