Investing on IBKR - is fx required for VWRL ?

Good morning,
First, thanks for your amazing research work, it has rekindled my interest in managing my own investments, the information and support are great!
My question: I have opened an IBKR account and transferred CHF. I plan to invest in VWRL. It is listed 3x : in EUR, GBP and CHF but not USD (that I can see). Any reason not to simply opt for the CHF listing? Will it then convert directly as the ETF is USD based ?
Thanks and my apologies if the question has already been answered.

Hi Sjs

I am glad my work has been useful :)

If you want the US dollar version, there is VWRD which is exactly the same but another trading currency.

In all cases, the underlying currency is USD (it's the same ETF in all four cases).

If you buy the CHF version, you will see CHF in your portfolio. When you buy, the conversion is done automatically before reaching the fund, you do not have anything to do.

If you want to see USD in your portfolio, then you can use the USD version but you will indeed have to a conversion (which is extremely cheap).
