Updated my asset allocation after a few years

Hi everyone,

after a few years I’ve decided to update my asset allocation on both IBKR and Finpension, and I wanted to share it here. Feel free to share your own or give feedback.

Before:

IBKR:

  • 90% VT
  • 10% CHSPI
Finpension (3a):
  • Swisscanto (CH) IPF I Index Equity Fund World ex CH NT CHF – 75%
  • Swisscanto (CH) Index Equity Fund Switzerland Total (II) NMT CHF – 10%
  • Swisscanto (CH) Index Equity Fund Emerging Markets NMT CHF – 8%
  • Swisscanto (CH) IPF I Index Equity Fund Small Cap World ex CH NT CHF – 6%
  • Cash – 1%

Now:

IBKR:

  • 100% VT
Finpension (3a):
  • Swisscanto (CH) IPF I Index Equity Fund World ex CH NT CHF – 84%
  • Swisscanto (CH) Index Equity Fund Emerging Markets NMT CHF – 10%
  • Swisscanto (CH) Index Equity Fund Switzerland Total (II) NMT CHF – 5%
  • Cash – 1%

I removed Small Caps and CHSPI to simplify my allocation.

IBKR is now 100% VT.
Finpension keeps a small 5% Swiss tilt, otherwise global equity.

Goal is a simple, long-term setup.

Curious how others structure their IBKR and 3a allocation.

Could you share your rationale for removing from home bias?

Your portfolio is good, many people are using the same.
I am not convinced the 5% Swiss stocks in the 3a make any difference unless your 3a is a large portion of your total wealth.

Thanks Baptiste!

I removed home bias because with VT I already have a fully global exposure and I no longer feel the need to overweight Switzerland on IBKR. In the end it just felt like an extra layer of complexity compared to a simpler setup.

You’re absolutely right about the 5% in the 3a: I kept it simply so I don’t fully exclude Switzerland from that part of the portfolio.
