Tax advisor recommendations

Hi all,

I am looking for a tax advisor to discuss some specific matters for my tax declaration. I do the declaration myself, but recently there are some new details that I could use some help with. Does anyone have any good recommendations? I am located in ZH.

I'm trying to plan ahead and understand the tax implications better of either becoming an expat or taking the exit tax route in a few years, and so I'm trying to find a tax advisor to consult with in this matter.

Ideally I'm looking for someone who would assess my situation (income, assets, etc), my future plans (move to country A, B or C with foreign income, etc) and explain my options and implications of doing so from both the US and the foreign countries tax perspectives.

@newiron8 I am afraid I do not know any good tax advisor. In your case, you could try to consult with a company like VZ which can do these kinds of assessments. They are not cheap, but they usually have good advice. Use it as a general plan.

Do we know if VZ is totally unbiased / independent? I often read about such "advisors", but they always try to push some products which they endorse (and of course get some bonuses off).

We know they are not, because VZ has their own products and sometimes try to push them.

That being said, their advice is generally good but the exact recommended products should not be followed to the letter.
